Our lenses are available in a range of different materials from regular to continuous wear, including cosmetic tints to suit almost any prescription. We can correct myopia (short sight), hypermetropia (long sight), astigmatism (distorted sight) and presbyopia (near vision problems in the aging eye).

Our Optometrist will discuss the best options for you taking into account your lifestyle and needs. The types of contact lenses available from RA Glass range from:

  • Daily Disposable Contact Lenses
  • Coloured Contact Lenses
  • Toric Contact Lenses
  • Multifocal Contact Lenses
  • Extended Wear Contact Lenses
  • Ortho-K Lenses
  • Special Contact Lenses

Daily Disposable

Daily disposable is one of the more popular lens choices. No solutions, no lens cases, no hassle! They offer superb convenience and do not require any lens care. Daily disposables are a great option for those who are prone to allergies; they avoid the day-to-day build up of dust, pollen and other irritants. Simply throw away your lenses at the end of the day and start with a fresh pair the next.

Many Eye Specialists believe that daily disposables are the healthiest for your eyes. They can cater to a wide range of prescriptions, from simple myopia to more complex toric designs for astigmatism and multifocals.

Extended wear

Not everyone is suitable for daily disposables, in which case one week, two week and monthly disposables may be a more suitable option. They now come in a wide variety of materials and powers to meet individual requirements. These lenses are designed to be removed, cleaned and stored in contact lens solution each night.

Advanced materials allow significantly more oxygen to your eye making contact lenses comfortable to wear for a longer period of time. Monthly extended wear lenses are available for astigmatism and presbyopia.

Overnight vision correction Ortho-K

This new treatment allows freedom from glasses and contact lenses during the day and offers a safe, reversible alternative to laser eye surgery.

Ortho k contact lenses are highly oxygen permeable and are only worn while you sleep. In the morning the lens is removed to benefit from clear unaided vision all day.

Specialist lenses

Specialist bespoke rigid or soft lenses for Ortho-K, complicated eyes and pathology. These include tailor made lenses that can correct Myopia (short sight), Hypermetropia (long sight), Astigmatism (distorted sight) and Presbyopia (near vision problems in the aging eye) Colour Vision Correction, Kerataconus and Cosmetic lenses (for enhancement or change of iris colour)
